When someone said, that SAP BO doesn't run on non sybase, that is
misleading.
I know many clients who have mS SQL Server as DB for SAP BI platform.

Subject: Advice On Selecting SAP Database

Thank you all for your comments; definitively they're very important feedbacks that I'm seriously considering in our analysis.

However seems that I won't get rid of Sybase at all, because yesterday in the afternoon in a meeting with my local SAP partners, they told us that BusinessObject doesn't run anymore on MS SQL Server or any other database, it's only support Sybase.

Personally I think this statement was just a desperate move to convince us of using Sybase, but I'm not so sure, I've tried to review the SAP documents but I can't because I must have a 'customer' account.

So what do you think about this, is there any component of SAP ECC that only support/runs on sybase?

Again, thanks a lot for your feedback.
