Reply from LCC352 on Apr 17 at 5:10 PM Hi, Cindy - When SAP was installed in 1996, there were well over 200 painters/writers developed to do PCA/CCA/Internal order reporting for reports that were not delivered by SAP. Things like 12 month trends (individual months across a page) and mixtures of plan and actual data in formats that were not available were developed. There were also many reports developed that used "cell logic" to create reports that could have been developed in ABAP, but this was even before ALV grids were popular. All of those reports are still in use today, but no new development has been done in over a dozen years. If you're using a BI, they become obsolete quickly. Now, if you're looking to develop simple management reporting that upgrades like a dream, Painter and Writer are still a good bet, old or not. - Lou

Our implementation partner says it is an old tool and not used much. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you, Cindy Collins | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | In the Spotlight Become a blogger at Toolbox.com and share your expertise with the community.
