The issue that I see with looking at another installation's code is that unless they have the eact same image (same version, same enhancement packs, same OSS note [minus maybe the bad one]), the code may be different and could still give syntax errors. My client has not updated for 5 years and they are on SAPKH60010. The reason is there are active projects and it seems the OSS notes cause more bugs, and I have lots of experience with SNOTE with my client. After doing an OSS note, there are IF statements without ENDIF, etc. When importing the note there was indication of a prior note that need to be imported first. So if I could have a look at the full program code then it would assist me to add the changes manually or find where another OSS note has added code.
