1. You could associate a system tcode and associate the security to that tcode
2. Nope. I'm afraid it is not advisable. The report generated by a report painter has a complex coding (hard to be followed even for a senior with more than 10 years like me). Anyway, if you want to waste your time, System -> Status -> double click on the report name and you'll get into the code.... Once there you're by your own ;)

We have some Report Painter reports which we need to secure.
Is there a way to secure them without having to re-write them from scratch in ABAP?
Is there a function that converts Report Painter Reports to plain ABAP reports?
