Reply from ward-1 on Oct 2 at 6:25 PM Nikki, wouldn't your proposed solution suppress the field so that we cannot use it. We need to use it to enter the social security number, but we want to limit to can view it. Basically we only want US Finance to see it, and not Procurement, or non-US Finance.

Hi Jeff,
SPRO > Financial Accounting > AR and AP > Vendor Accounts > Master Data > Preparations for Creating Vendor Master Data > Define Screen Layout per Activity (Vendors).
Choose the Display Vendor (Accounting) line and go to the Details. Choose the General Data section and then click on Edit Field Status. Double click on the Control section.
Make the Tax ID fields Suppressed.
