Reply from VidhyaDhar on Sep 13 at 2:15 AM Hi, Usually a document can be parked and posted later ( viz.on a subsequent date ). Please note that a document number is automatically assigned to the parked document ( system assigns it if the numbering is internal and user assigns the document if the numbering is external ) based on the document principle based on the a) document number ,b) company code and c.fiscal year ( if the numbering is for each year). The posting date is the important factor which determines the fiscal year. However, you have a provision in IMG to configure whether to subsequently change the posting date of a document (which is already parked ) at the time of posting. You can configure one from the three available options as described below: a. retain the same posting date entered in the document during parking b. change the posting date to CPU date c. change the posting date to CPU date ( only if the posting period specified at the time of parking is since closed ) Your ability / inability to change the posting date of a parked document depends on how you have configured for your company code.
