Please check if one of the following could be the reasons:
Are you sure that you have created not only a house bank but also an
account ID?
Have you ensured that you have created a check lot?
Are you sure that the check has not already appeared in the bank statement
as having been encashed?
Are you sure that there are no currency / payment method specification
related incomplete configuration?
