Thanks for your reply. I did some more R&D and found that the field is non editable in MM41, MM42. I tried with other fields which are editable in MM41 and MM42 and they are working with the BAPI. So I will be taking it to the functional guys.

Hi ,
I am trying to update field WMAAB of table MAW1 using the BAPI BAPI_MATERIAL_MAINTAINDATA_RT. After executing the BAPI, I am using BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT on success. The BAPI_MATERIAL_MAINTAINDATA_RT is returning success message saying 'Artclie XXX is updated'. But when I am checking the field in the table, the value is not getting changed.
Can anyone help on this
