I need to have the Sales Order automatically select the Tax Jurisdiction Code from the available list of Tax Jur codes that we have populated with the tax rates. So far I found out that we need to use a User Exit for this. However, I do not know which user exit and therefore, I am searching for this bit of information. Note: we only need this for Sales Orders where we are not using a pre-populated Material Master. ( E.g. Credit Card and check orders.)
What is the User Exit that will automatically populate a Sales Order with a Tax Jur Code?

We are a small company using SAP with sales tax in 6 states so far. We are only taxing in the United States. Most sales are not taxable; However, we do sell to end users via credit card and these are taxable. We want to purchase an external data file to load into SAP with the tax rates for each State/County. We want to have the Sales Order automatically select the Tax Jurisdiction Code (with the tax rates). The Sales Order entry staff should not have to determine the tax by figuring out which Tax Jurisdiction code to select. We do have an ABAP guy for any custom code required. Please advise what the best course of action might be for a cost effective solution. |
