You can move the defected materials from primary location to the claim
storage location ( need to be created in SAP)
and can write off this material.However , Claiming from Insurance should be
done out of SAP or need to build customized transactions with Abapers.

We used to received Transit Breakages of our Products.
Once there is some breakage we move stock from Primary location (0001) to Claim Location (0007). From 0007 location we write off the stock. Based on the LR certification from Carrier we claim from Insurance company.
Is there any better way of accounting in SAP. |
