My company is doing a SAP-Ivara integration and there is a conflict with current customizing set up on SAP-MM side, below are the details:
Problem: In work order (maintenance order) creation, when an operation is entered which is to be processed externally or contains service (control key PMEX or PMES), system tries to create a purchase requisition for the same automatically. All the required parameters (purchasing information) entered in work order is passed for creation of purchase requisition. For purchase requisition type (NB) there is an additional mandatory field 'Storage Location'. The Storage location field is no where entered at operation level in work order, hence while trying to create purchase requisition, the creation fails due to missing storage location. However, when same is entered using SAP GUI, user gets an option to enter Storage Location on Purchase requisition screen, but while creating work order using BAPIs(For Ivara interface), there is no option to pass the storage location at operation level.
How can we change the field selection customizing for Purchase requisition type 'NB' to make Storage location field Optional? (which customization areas should we check?) .
Storage location is relevant only for the purchase requisitions which are created for procuring material. With current interface, the purchase requisition are being created for external operations & services where storage location is not relevant. Hence the field setting for 'Storage Location' should be changed from Mandatory to Optional.
On the same breath, how can auto determination/Population of storage location on Purchase Orders be configured (... such that the PO looks at material master for the info) without us necessarily entering the default storage location for EP (external procurement) in the material masters (plant level) on the MRP view? Is this something that can be done using BADIs?
