Please check the message M8-504 is activated through t code OMRM.
If it is activated then system will not allows IV before GR so this daterelated issue will not arises.

You can achieve your requirement by using BAdi. Just see the note : 1156325. Have a look at the first BAdi mentioned which checks the details during document entry in MIRO.
