When the employee was re-assigned, during the IT 7 creation, it is possible that the feature SCHKZ is returning the value 9's. As per standard user procedures, the user or administrator who maintained the employee data should check the default and correct where required.
It is also found that an infotype creation is skipped during personnel actions or maintenance. This also can result in errors, as it has been found in many cases.
For example, when IT 7 is inserted, the system defaults with the IT 8 list. The user needs to check if a IT 8 should be created to start on the same date as IT 7. It may be necessary in some installations; even otherwise, it would be a good practice to do so.
These procedures should also be in the HR user guide. Quite often, the user guides are ignored. The management needs to educate when new people join an area and conduct refresher courses regularly, say once in 6m or 12m.

Hi All,
Recently I noticed an EE with a back-dated IT0007 change did not receive holiday pay for the back-dated period. On 3/1/12 this EE was changed to a salaried EE and would no longer have to key his hours in CATS. The WSR was missed, and not changed and remained 99999(no time recording) thus giving him a 56 hour week. For the two periods with holidays it paid 48 hours, but no 8 hours of holiday. Any ideas as to what would cause this to happen? |
