Subject: Objects - Org Unit Numbering Order

Hello gurus,

We have assigned internal numbering for objects. I am faced with a question
from the client whether it is possible to number the divisions of org units
as 1.1, 1.2, ...etc, instead of the numbering of 1, 2,3.....etc .... while
i understand that SAP treats every object independently and the relations
between objects does not depend on the numbering but the relations that are
defined between these objects.

Kindly advice if my understanding is incorrect.

When i try to create a new org unit, it gives a numbering for e.g. 107,
when the last org unit is 57. I haven't been able to understand the reason
for this and how to overcome this problem so that i can have org units in
continuous order.

Please help.

Thanks and regards,

Archana
