Open PO13 -> Put the Position no. -> Highlight Relationship-> In change
option Put the Org.Unit no. you want to assign with Position & execute it.
Then log off from Client & re open it.

If you are trying to move a positiont from one org unit to other org unit which belongs to different cost center, you will get this error. In such scenarios, you should create new position and perform org reassignment action.
