If IT 7 has the correct work schedule rule for the person, then go to WS from IT 7 and check if the daily hrs for the relevant date is correct.
If not then you may need to re-generate the WS which might not have been done when the WSR or the PWS or a DWS or the hol calendar related to the WSR was changed.
If the employee's daily hrs need to be changed just for a day, then enter IT 2003 with the required DWS for that day (or the from/to times & the break).
Then if you go to CAT2, it should show the correct hrs and other details for that day.

In CAT2, the target hours in grayed field shows the value of 8hrs and my client wants to have this value as 12hrs in grey field,
I tried to change it into the PA30 for the infotype 0007 and set the daily work hours as 12hours. After this if I enters the 12hrs per day into the CAT2 then system allows me with the warning message but still the grey filed value is only 8hrs.
Can anyone please suggest me from where this target value of 8 hours into grey field is defaulted? Is there any BAPI, Exit or any other solution for this specific requirement?
