Hi Ramesh,

Thanks for the reply.

The first part of your answer is clear to me. It seems to refer to the point no. 2 in my post.

But I am still not clear on the next part of your answer "Else, if SD module is used, and if there is a functional need to collect costs on a Sales order item, then it would be the right choice".

As I mentioned in my post, is it related to the " Product Cost by sales order"? I have not worked on this area yet.

Could you give some example to explain it further? What do you mean by functional need to collect costs on a sales order item?

Please help.

Thanks & Regards,
Govind

Subject: Cost Controlling Parts of SD Customer Orders

Hi Govind,
What SAP says is that in case SD module itself is not used but revenues and costs need to be collected to an order, then you can use I.O with revenue functionality, so that both costs and revenues could be collected in it. This would later have to be settled to COPA. Else, if SD module is used, and if there is a functional need to collect costs on a Sales order item, then it would be the right choice.

Regards,
Ramesh
