You are absolutely right.
When the business areas of two assets are the same but the cost centers are
different, you can bring about a time dependent change cost center from
within the asset for a single asset ( or use a substitution for mass change
in many assets) . However, if the business areas of two assets differ, then
you need to carry out an intra company code asset transfer only. Sorry to
have not mentioned it in my earlier post.
