In which financial year are you trying to post? If you are trying to post the in FY 2012 ensure that FY is open for posting and check financial year is closed status using T code OAAQ.

When running periodic asset posting in ASKBN, getting error as "posting period 00 2012 is not open. However, the periods and the dates given are all correct.
