What I have said upon my first response applies to the pre-NGL scenario and works like this (as far as i have been able to experience). The cost center FA is weaker than the cost center cathegory FA but both are weaker than the FA informed in the GL account (Chart of Acc level). These FA master determination will be overriden by whatever a substitution may inform right before the commit-work happens. You can freely chose where to informed the FA you want to derive but the cost center level will prevail only if the GL account is FA-empty.

Subject: Old Functional Area Is Still Being Referenced in New Postings

Hello all,

In KS02 I changed a functional area from PRD to QLT (quality) as of August 1, but postings continue to reflect the original functional area PRD. Do you know of anything else I need to do to make the system recognize the new functional area?

I am not concerned about rebuilding the old data, but i would like the functional area to reflect as of a specific date and continue from that point onwards.

Thank you,

Matt
