1 - I'm fairly sure that Marc has already resolved his issue from 2004.
2 - Why would one pay for an additional hosted SMTP fax service for SAP, when one is already running a corporate MS-Exchange server (as per the scenario below)? Leveraging one's existing investment would seem to be a better approach.
3 - The SAP-Exchange connector was IMO a less-than-stellar piece of software that was discontinued long ago (right after Exchange 5.5). Current generation SAP & MS-Exchange systems do not require any additional software to be installed in order to communicate.

Sometimes, instead of dealing with the problem, it just pays to avoid them altogether...
