hi there on IT0000, it clear it is the start date, how ever that date can
not be changed on Tcod PA30, and can be changed on Tcod PA41

The start date of infotype 0000 is related to the start date of the associated action - so if the action is the hiring of an individual then the start date is the equivalent of the employees date of hire -if the action is the employee going on a leave of action (that is one we have set up) then the start date of that action is the equivalent of when he/she went on a leave.. When you create the first infotype 0002 record for an individual the start date for that infotype is equivalent to the individual's date of birth.
Infotype 0000
Start Date 05/01/2011 End Date 12/31/9999 Action A8 - Return from LOA ** this is an action we have set up
Start Date 04/15/2011 End Date 04/30/2011 Action A6 - Paid LOA ** this is an action we have set up
Start Date 06/01/2009 End Date 04/14/2011 Action A1 - new Hire ** this is an action we have set up
Infotype 0002 for this individual
Start Date 06/01/2011 End Date 12/31/9999 We are tracking here that the individual had a change in his/her marital status
Start Date 11/15/1090 End Date 05/31/2011 The start date is the employee's date of birth
** the way it was explained to me a long time ago is that this is when the individual became a person of the world.
