it worked!!! :-) Thanks a ton being my expert here.
knocking again for bit change in this requirement, i'm not just suppose to change the partner number at item level but other details like Name1, Street, Post_code1 & city1 from adrc table based on KUNNR.
so i've the data what to put, but where(runtime internal table).. its still unger search operation :-). believe you must have the name of that internal table in your mouth ready.
Yes.. Name1 can be populated in xvbpa-name1.. but looking where to put street, post_code1 & city1.. so that it'll appear once saved.
Curiously awaiting words from experts again.

In MV45AFZZ in the USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE your partner functions would be in the xvbpa table. Read table xvbpa with key parvw = 'XY'. IF you only want to do this on VA01/VA02 you can check sy-tcode .
You always go through this exit when you hit the save button.
