Dear first I want to know that you manage machine as an inventory and asset as well its mean you manage inventory as zero valuated, you should use material type LEIH (returnable packaging), and maintain LEIH in general item category in material master, this will enable a special stock indicator, and when you issue the machine through sale order and PGI the maching will be lying in Customer account, but it still in your ownership.

When we rent a machine out to a customer, we will remove the machine from our inventory and record it as a fixed asset. We will record rental income when the customer is invoiced monthly. When the lease period is over, the customer will return the machine back to us. At that time, we want to still hold the machine dollars in the fixed asset system but want to recognize that it is being held in our inventory and is available to use for future rentals. Question: Is there a way to do a goods receipt on this machine when it is returned to our company without generating any inventory dollars? | | __.____._ Copyright © 2011 Toolbox.com and message author.
