Anup. Make sure you do not have a default layout filter when you use CL30N to search for your class and first try to do a blank query to return ANY object that has such 052 class assigned to it ... also recommend you try this in a development client or sandbox just to verify ..also make sure your class has status "1" released ... usually the object is "Sales Org/DistCh./Customer/Material" after you classify a CMIR in VD51/52

Hi,
I try to search for materials by Class belonging to Class Type 052 (CMI Class) but am unable to select from the result of search performed.
Reason seems to be pointing to the fact that for a material selected, system tries to copy the 'Object' (which is a combination of Sales Org, Dist Channel, Division & Material) into the field for Material but fails.
Any one come across a similar occurrence? If yes, what's the fix?
