I would assume you have done all the configuration.
I have only reviewed Plants Abroad, as my current client uses Cross-Company Sales in EU.
Does this mean based on your original question that maybe the Company (company code) needs to be registered in the customers EU country too? Have you ever done a test with configuring VI62 for the customer country and checking the result?

I understand the plants abroad functionality (Activate, set billing relevance J, get WIA invoice where supplying and receiving countries are different.) I also understand that this functionality works well on consignment and replenishment orders.
What I don't understand is why the system doesn't seem to cope for normal sales orders... If a customer is supplied in one country from a plant in another country (both assigned to a central company code somewhere else) then no WIA process is automatically triggered to get the cross border VAT Intrastat entries correct.
What do other people do in this circumstance?
The solution design here is to create an IDOC to create the WIA invoice of the back of the delivery once it's been PGI'd but this involves changing the status of the delivery item to allow a bill to be produced and then back again depending on the sequence of creation of the WIA vs creation of the customer billing document.
So I'm interested in how other people have overcome this apparent functionality gap?
(Creation of a dummy replenishment to generate the WIA is not ideal as the goods are delivered directly to the customer from the plant in the other country.) |
