If you are reducing the pay with factoring and use TSDIVI to calculate the fraction in your payroll PCRs, then the TSDIVI may not correctly show the days that the employee is contracted to work in a pay period as IT 8. This happens for shift workers who work different days in a week or fortnight.

You can see this if you run payroll with log, then display the PARTT function.

This problem can be resolved by using TSDIVP which gives the no.of hrs from IT 8.

Hi,

We have an employee whose work schedule in IT0007 is from Mon-Fri. For month of Jan, his work days were changed to Thu-Mon (i.e. rest/off days on Sat/Sun were changed to Tue/Wed). This was done through IT2003.

This employee resigned on 8 Jan, with 3 days of unpaid leave from 6-8 Jan (Thu - Sat). Based on IT2003, the number of work days in Jan should be 4 days (i.e. 3 Jan, and 6-8 Jan). His pro-rated salary should therefore be based on 4 work days rather than 5 work days. However, payroll still calculate the work days as 5 days (i.e. 3-7 Jan), but the unpaid leave was correctly deducted as 3 days. This has resulted in paying him an extra of 1 day salary.

Would appreciate if anyone could advise what went wrong here. Thanks.
