Correct. You specify the asset classes for which Down Payment will be
allowed in OAYB. This will result in creation of the following:
a) on down payment - Transaction Type 180 / Tr Grp 15. This is similar to
APC posting. Since 180 is set to capitalize the transaction, the asset gets
capitalized on the date of the down payment and starts depreciating.
b) on clearing the down payment - Transaction Type 181 / Tr Grp 15. This
reverses the down payment and moves it to APC, including any depreciation
relating to it.
Generally, this is activated only if there is a requirement to capitalize
and report down payment for assets separately and mostly it is associated
with AuC assets.

Yes but I think unless I map the asset class in OAYB the system will not at all allow me to post down payment on asset related PO.
AM I right?
