[sap-acct] How to delete or or modify the cost center master data

Hi
I created cost center record wrongly, now I want to either delete or modify the master record. But I am unable to do so in SAP.
The following error message appears while I am trying to delete the cost center using Tcode KS04
ALE is active;check consistency of the data
Please advice
