Patrick -

To be honest, I have no idea if the problem is truly an excess of data - it's too hard to tell from this distance. You can always create a queue on one of your print servers and try it out. If the problem goes away, then so much the better! I would find the closest (network distance) print server you've got to the printer in question.

Subject: Connection problem to Internal printserver on Zebra printer

HI Dave,

Your interpretation is correct.
Only problem is that it does happen often (+/- every job fails).
We do print several labels (as consecutive jobs) but the problem is also there for small numbers (< 5 labels).

Do you think it could be due to some kind of "wake-up" time that the internal print server in the Zebra needs before it will be ready to take the print jobs from SAP and Sap who is indeed to impatient and cancels?

Is it a good idea to try using an external print server? Will this make a difference towards the label lay-out and printer behaviour?

Patrick
