You will have to activate the user exit to add the custom field in the SES header and build the field exit to allow validation.

While doing the service acceptance using ML81N transaction, specific requirement is if document date is prior to PO date, then we are thinking of adding reason code field at header level and once we do the entry in the reason code, we should able to post the service entry sheet.
Please suggest is this to be done by modifying the program or any settings available so that we can use the functionality of using entry in the headerlevel which can be considered as reason code entry, after entering the appropriate value it will allow to post.
Please suggest do we have to do modification in ABAP code, or any functionality available which can used for this purpose.
