Hi Peter,
I am happy I could help. The Update Statistics scheduled with Tx DB13 updates the statistics of many tables based on an internal routing that selects the tables to be updated. Read the complete documentation regarding the selection process. Tx DB20 you can selectively update the statistics for a specific table. The same process is performed either way.
You should only need to use Tx DB20 is specific situations like you had yesterday.

I've created the statistic as suggested and the deletion job is completed this morning at about 8am. I guess I should have done it earlier.
By the way, is the statistic job in DB20 the same as in DB13?
In DB13. I also have a daily job to perform: "Check and update optimizer statistics". Just wondering if it's the same job?
Please advice.
