Hi Vamsi

You may need to ask the WF specialist to check the WF approval request module.

It is possible the selection of approvers does not look at the period of leave as compared to the approver substitution period.

Suggested pseudo-code for selection of approver:
- Select employee having
(employment status = active
authority profile = leave approver
and relationship = manager for the employee's position)
in the period of employee's leave period.

You may need to make sure other selection criteria as required for your business rules are satisfied.

The WF specialist may be able to put a trace and check where the problem is.

Hope this helps.
Regards, JG

Subject: Wrong notification to a future substitute

Mgr ABC has set XYZ as substitute in the future date from 2010.11.01 - 2010.11.07.
Now if employee PQR makes an absence request and when Mgr ABC approves the request, notification is being send to employee PQR saying that "XYZ has approved the request on behalf of Mgr ABC"

I strongly blive something went wrong in the notification program, so what can be done to correct this?
