Hello Lars-Erik,

That is a good remark. Rajesh, as mentioned below, SAP Note 19227 e.g. provides comments and recommendations about users and permissions. It also describes where to obtain the software and for which "scenario" (i.e. OSCol as part of SAP Hostagent). If relevant, please refer to SAP Note 726094 as well.

For AIX specifically, I found the following information which might provide further useful information: SAP Note 710975 (FAQ: which saposcol should be used on AIX).
In this Note, please find information which version of SAPOSCol to use depending on SAP Netweaver/Kernel release and AIX version as well as further troubleshooting hints.

I want to just update the oscollector because when I tried to start the collector it's giving error "shared memory not available' and I can't start manually. Is there anyway I can update only collector.
