The thread sat there from 2008, until you chose to post a comment on it in 2010. The comment included: 'dont think that most of the solutions or tips provided here will resolve an issue'
Now, maybe I'm just crazy but - that does not sound to me like a positive opinion. It sounded to me more like a negative opinion from someone with a complaint. I happened to disagree with that comment, and so I replied. Perhaps you meant something other than what you wrote, but I can only reply to what I see written.
Yes, you had your opinion about someone elses post and you expressed it. Other people also had opinions about your post, and they also expressed them. Just because your opinion differs from the majority of the forum users, does not make one or the other 'more' correct - these are opinions after all, not facts. We are each entitled to our opinions just as much as you are to yours.
If you intended to spark a general discussion about the merits of updating years-old postings, it would have been more appropriate to start a new thread about that specific topic rather than highjacking one about a paging issue. I still don't think you'd get much agreement from others on that, but it would be filed appropriately under its own topic.
This site is very much community driven. You won't see a posting from a 'moderator' admonishing someones ettiquette in this BASIS forum. We take care of that ourselves. The moderators keep to the shadows and deal with people who try to post actual 'offensive' items (which yours are not). You're welcome to offer your opinion along with the rest of us, but please don't be offended if you find yourself among the minority when doing so.
