Hello,
Simple way to understand process type is
1. to browse the table for long text as Vinay suggested 2. look at customized sub schema for TW30 3. browse the rule TW32 or the customized rules 4. browse the rule ZW06 to understand how the time is evaluated for this P type in ZM04 5. Check the time wage type selection rules for this P type to have a complete understanding.
I hope it will help you.

The processing type is also important for the determination of planned pairs. Time data processing refers to attendance and absence pairs when calculating the planned working time. Planned working time pairs (processing type "S") and overtime pairs ("M") are formed in a subsequent processing step.
I got processing type 'U' what does this mean?
This is for shift worker who work on Friday public holiday.
