Hello Caddick,

I agree with your point that is why I also put the Caution point in my
reply.

If he really wants a single SID for both stack then only this procedure can
be used but SAP recommended way is to have two different SID for ABAP and
JAVA stack as SAP is planning to separate the ABAp and JAVA stack in the
future.

You are correct that this is a work around, but it is really not recommended. It is better to run the installation process twice and install an ABAP SID and then a Java SID.
