Hi Priyanka,
Ok, when you have populated one asset of 80 in the asset explorer, then the flow for ABZE is correct.
Now you have to see the doc for 1000 value asset wrt to posting date and asset value date.
Go to asset explorer once again. See that whether your 1000 value asset have been posted or asset value date is in the FY or for any following FY.
I can apprehend only this is the possible reason for your problem.
The other way is, when you execute ABZE, before posting you can see the doc overview, confirm from there that your FY dates are in same FY of the original asset.
I can see the problem is with the FY only.

Yes I did post for the same asset master.
Did you not use the concept of using sub numbers for your asset?
No ,I did not use the asset sub number...but i just want to check what will be the acquisition value when i do multiple acquisitions...
Did you make a note of the financial document created for the postings of
5000 and 1000? Did you recall the documents for viewing using FB03?
Yes,I did check the documents and more over i went for the GL Balance and i found it posted the sum of it.
Moreover, what does the asset history sheet say?
The asset history says the acquisition as sum of all...but the net.book.val as the last acquisition (80)-corresponding planned depreciation.
What depreciation key did
you use ?
The book depreciation to which asset is tied is using 5% liner
How is it configured for additions to an asset ( in the period
control key) ?
i use 01 for additions to an asset
(honestly I dint even understand why we use this period control )..but anyways that is what in my system
