Hi Nancy When you start displaying or maintaining a view/table, if the transaction asks to confirm the country grouping, then the table is based on the country. T512W is one such table. Hence using the same wage type across countries, for one purpose like basic pay, makes sense. As nycoy said, it makes it easier to report on a wage type for the whole company or group across different countries. Also before starting implementation across different countries, it is usual practice to set up a global template for the company. This will include all common implementation factors/considerations across all countries & subsidiaries. Then for each country, the country template is derived from the global template plus country specifics. Then from the country template, you derive the individual company implementation model. This helps in reducing the global implementation & maintenance effort. It also helps in understanding of the requirements. This concept is used normally in international companies. Hope this helps.
