Hi Poonam Is your question re: SQ01 ABAP Query or using SE16 or SE17 or using search in say PA30 and to select a value for a field? For SQ01 & SE16, to enter the values, press the arrow button at the right for any selection field. This takes you to a screen with tabs for (a)select single values: enter specific values to be included in your selection criteria - Here you can also enter not equal to, greater, etc, when you press the button on the left of a row, where you enter a value. (b)select ranges: enter one or more ranges of values to be included (c)exclude single values: similar to a), buit to exclude from selection (d)exclude ranges - similar to b) but for exclusion, If you combine a) & c) for one field, it may not work correctly. SE17 - You can enter one or more set of values. You can also prefix a value with a symbol like <> for excluding that value. To enter more than one value criteria, you can enter a concatenation like = a or = b. This could be somewhat difficult to understand. Easiest would be to use SE16. All the above can be in background. In PA30 with free search, you can do as above, but background search may have no meaning. You can search and store the values and use it for next search. Hope this helps. Suppose I want to pull records based on IT41...I give date type and the search results should be between a date range for that particular date type from IT41...suppose ppl with start date between 01.01.2010 to 01.09.2010. I can choose "equal to" "less than" " greater than" etc but when it comes to "range" how to input the range in search criteria? > > Any help is most welcome. > > Regards > Poonam | __.____._ Copyright © 2010 Toolbox.com and message author.
