Hi David Yeah, but Jay still hasn't told us what platform he's running on, as far as I can see. All I'm saying is that if he's running on Windows or Linux, it makes no sense to delete this parameter. If SAP Support had told me to delete this parameter, I would ask them if I could set it to 70% of RAM instead, unless if the ticket had reached developer support. Those guys I usually don't question. Caddick (SAP NetWeaver/BASIS Consultant) on Sep 4 at 5:40 PM Mark as helpful Hi Lars-Erik, I hear what you are saying. But they have reported a performance problem and SAP has instructed them to: "For ex., existing value of PHYS_MEMSIZE is 512 and now they have asked us not to set any value." While SAP is providing support for an existing problem you need to follow their instructions. If Jay does not follow SAPs advice then it is no point opening messages for SAPs support. I will always follow SAPs advice while I have a problem over advice given in a forum. To me that makes no sense at all. Regards, LEH From: D. If you're on unix, you can delete the whole parameter from the profile, not just the value. If you're on windows, it should be set to approx 70% of total RAM. Do you mean, I need to delete the existing parameter value and keep the field blank, save it and activate it? ---------------Original Message--------------- From: mrinal Sent: Friday, September 03, 2010 12:49 AM Subject: Setting up the parameter > You delete the parameter from your profile > > Thanks & Regards > Mrinal K.
