[sap-acct] Busness Area cannot assign with Cost Center.

Hi Gurus,
I have a question, we have a CTR in our C.Code. When it was created mistakenly no business area is assigned to it. But when we want to assign it to the same CTR by T.Code - KS02, an error message is giving "you cannot change CTR as transaction exists." I want to know is there any other way so that we can assign bus. area to this ctr, or we can change the CTR without effecting the transaction.
Please help me out. Thanks.
