As reported by Robert Greenberg, the relationship between work center and cost center is just for you to establish its several rates.
Several companies has like practice to create a WC dummy with just function to appraise their rates. In other words, excepting this function the relationship does not serve for more anything useful (view PP, PS and PM).
Is not elegant you take ownership a work center of other area. And your planed and actual costs?
Talk with the CO Team to clarify their ideas.
