Hi John You can use comments in a PCR as below: a)In the same line as you have an executable operation: start the comment at least one posn after the next normal operation code start position. Each op'n in a PCR takes up 10 positions. b)In a separate line: Enter * in the D column. However you need to check the syntax and ensure it is not a problem. Example 1 : The current rule is: D OUTWPPLANT * nfa ** nfa *** nfa **** nfa xxxx do xx yyyy do yy zzzz do zz Here you can comment any line provided it does not cause syntax error or processing error. Syntax check is first level of check. The actual processing of the schema/rules in time eval and payroll provide any processing errors. Hence the use of *, **, ***, ****, because you may get a return value of 1 asterisk. Example 2 : The current rule is: D OUTWPPLANT * nfa ** nfa *** nfa **** nfa xxxx do xx1 NEXTR xxxx 1 do xx2 yyyy do yy zzzz do zz To comment continuation line xxxx 1: xxxx do xx1 NEXTR (NEXTR is moved at least 1 column right and it is only a comment xxxx 1 * do xx2 (commented out Hope this helps. I want to prevent a line from executing when payroll runs. I know in the schema under column D you can use * to comment out a rule from excuting but can't seem to figure out that of PCR. Thank you. | __.____._ Copyright © 2010 Toolbox.com and message author. Toolbox.com 4343 N. Scottsdale Road Suite 280, Scottsdale, AZ 85251 | | JG-SAPHR SAP HR Enthusiast
