Hi there, Not sure if the material is returnable but another set of complication will popup, if the customer returns a previously sold material. It will be hard to keep track of such discounts and then reverse. I think the business should look into the practicality of the scheme and the subsequent results achieved. Nothing is impossible but then such situation will be called non-standard. Standard SAP addresses these areas thru rebates as the experts have already recommended in their posts. I believe if the customers are regular customers, then you should look into annual rebates that will address various accounting complexities as well. Good luck, RABK. Thanks for all your responses guys. I wanted to get some opinions from other experienced consultants as well before I go back and tell my client that they need to re-think how they want to administer these discounts. I just wanted to make sure I was not ignoring any other options, there could possibly be, of providing this functionality. Thanks again. They do not have to buy more in a single order to get the higher discount but the more they buy over several orders the higher their discount gets. Here is how the scheme works: > > e.g if they buy 1st unit of Material ABC (Discount $0) they pay $ 2495 ea > if they buy 2nd unit of Material ABC (Discount $50) they pay $2445 ea > if they buy 3rd unit of Material ABC (Discount $100) they pay $2395 ea > if they buy 4th unit of Material ABC (Discount $150) they pay $2345 ea > if they buy the 5th unit and beyond of Material ABC (Discount $200) they pay $2295 ea > > The system needs to keep track of how many units they have bought over the course of this promotion and offer the discount accordingly. They do not have to buy more units in a single order to get the higher discount. > > If anyone has had this kind of a requirement in the past and has a solution please post it here. > > Thanks in advance for your help. > > SJ | __.____._ Copyright © 2010 Toolbox.com and message author.
