Selina - Sorry, the correct answer for that really should come from the accounting type people in your organization. It's going to depend on _why_ you need to adjust the value of the asset, and where the value will go (or come from). Not being an accounting type myself, I would likely give you a horribly inappropriate answer. Obviously, if you issue or receive something that is tracked with quantity, then the quantity of that object will change. That's what it means to issue something - remove a certain quantity of it, making that quantity go somewhere else (at least logically "go"). If you want to change something's value but NOT its quantity, you need an accounting transaction, not an MM transaction.
