What are your current sizes for the sap system and which version you are running? Regards, Zafar From: mark_me via sap-basis <sap-basis@Groups.ITtoolbox.com> To: javaid email@removed Sent: Sun, July 11, 2010 11:47:35 AM Subject: [sap-basis] Disk space recommendations Posted by mark_me (Basis consultant) on Jul 11 at 8:18 AM Again I am dependent on the group, I need to have your thoughts on the current disk sizing for Oracle files ( sapdata, archive + logs ) which I have planned for different products with EHP's and suggest if I am required to consider the increase in disk space. ECC EHP4 DEV : 400 GB ( sapdata , archive +logs ) , after client creation 130 GB is free ECC EHP4 QAS : 400 GB ( sapdata, archive +logs) , after client creation 150 GB is free . ECC EHP4 PRD : yet to install , assuming 500 GB (sapdata) + 100 GB ( archive +log files) BW +EP EHP1 DEV : 200 GB for BI ( sapdata , log files ) , 50 GB for EP * Here what would be the best way to design landscape considering the BW EHP1 ( 2 SID's on same BOX) 1. Have MCOD installation for BW ( 2 SID's) and another DB for EP instance on same box. 2. Use BW JAVA instance for EP usage and skip the separate installation of EP and single DB with MCOD. BW +EP EHP1 QAS : 400 GB for BI ( sapdata , log files ) , 100 GB for EP BW EHP1 PRD: 500 GB for BI ( sapdata , log files ) Please suggest as per your experience which landscape design for BW and EP would be better and are the disk size proper? | __.____._ Copyright © 2010 Toolbox.com and message author.
