Hi!
We are live on SAP ECC 6.0 on Oracle 10.2.
Next week we plan to start our move to virtual servers (off current physical servers) as well as upgrade to EnhP4. First creating a Sandbox copy of PRD.

Our plan to create the Sandbox is: get vm environment ready and load OS (Win 2003) and loading Oracle (version 10.2).
Install SAP ERP, apply any needed support packs, make a homogeneous system copy from PRD to our new Sandbox. Then install Enhancement Pack 4.

I see now that SAP is certified on Oracle 11g2. We would also prefer to upgrade to this latest Oracle version. So, within the propose path I have above, the Oracle upgrade should be last, after the Enhancement pack install - is this correct?

And I know this is a loaded question, but from your experience, do you think it is too risky a move, esp with moving to the VM world AND installing EnhP4, all at the same time?

We'd like to be current but don't want to introduce too much change/risk, and have to do extraordinary amounts of regression testing.

Your thoughts and guidance on this is much appreciated!!
Thanks!
