Hi,

The use of BI client in the ERP system is only recommended for quite small installation with very limited use of BI reporting, as far as I know. The BI system is often pretty performance consuming and if BI is integrated in the ERP system it will of course affect the ERP system users. The fact that BI systems need an OLAP optimized database configuration to perform at its best is well known, so the OLTP database will not perform as good. The functionality is the same between the 2 systems, though.

Regards,
LEH

Thanks for your answer. My question really was about the difference of a BI-client that is installed and configured in an ECC6.0-system (ABAP Java) and a true BI-system (ABAP Java) - both with the same BI-Content imported. Can anyone give me some details regarding functionality and performance?
Thank you.
Alex
