There will be no storage location in the 351 GI material document for the receiving plant. You SHOULD be receiving against the correct PO number otherwise your PO history will be incorrect.

If your 2 plants are in the same physical location, why do you need to move into stock in transit and then back out? If there is only a very small transit time between issuing and receiving, why don't you use the one-step transfer where it performs both the goods issue and goods receipt in one transaction? Are they in different company codes?

Cheers

yes,it is 351 movt type from unrest.stk in plant to stk in transit.
We need to send materials from a supplying plant to different storage locations of a recvng plant, which are physically in the same premises . The user at the recvg plant needs to ascertain that he is taking receipt at the right st loc on taking display of the migo Goods issue note, rather than obtain the PO no and go into PO history each time a consignment comes..hence the recng st loc has to be seen in the GI document.
What can be done?

What movement type is it? If you are moving to e.g. stock in transit, the storage location will be blank in the receiving plant.

The receiving storage location is available but might not be displaying on screen. Adjust the layout and save as a variant.

In STO,both the issuing and receiving storage locations of respective 'from' and 'to' plants are entered. However in migo goods issue against the purchase order,in transfer posting tab,the issuing storage location alone is populated, along with the respective plants..We want the receiving storage location also to be seen. What is to be done?
